About the studio
“Flow with our community” is the invitation at Buena Vida Yoga. It’s an off-the-grid studio where class is only part of the visit. Students are invited to stay for coffee and lunch afterward.
As the community grew, the studio needed a website that could handle registration without turning the owner into a software administrator.
What they needed
- Students able to register for classes and manage class credits online.
- An easier way for the owner to handle guest passes.
- A system sized to what the studio will actually use, without paying for the extra features that come with platforms like MindBody.
Classes as custom posts
We built class management on WordPress custom post types. Each class is its own entry that the owner can add, edit, or remove. Students see upcoming classes at a glance, whether it’s a Sunday gathering or a midweek flow.
Checkout with WooCommerce
We used WooCommerce for checkout. Students can buy a single class credit or a class pack, and the checkout matches the look of the rest of the site.
Design
The studio has red brick walls and plenty of natural light. The site follows suit: open layouts, warm photography, simple navigation, and clear buttons to book or buy. It carries the Buena Vida Yoga brand and logo throughout, so the website and the studio feel like the same place.
The result
- Students buy credits, register for classes, and check out in one place.
- The owner manages classes and guest passes from a backend that’s simple to use.
- The site looks and feels like the studio.
“We gather. We flow. We share.” The website now supports that, online and in the room.
